Privacy Policy — Mobile Applications

Last updated: 10 August 2026

Apps and store listings

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed in connection with the following mobile applications (the “Apps”), as listed on Google Play and the Apple App Store under the same titles:

  • BookBee
  • Binge Beacon
  • Ok, Fine - Decision Maker
  • PsstBee – Noise Light

For transparency and to match your store listings:

  • Google Play developer account: Hendrik Lang — the Apps above are published under this developer identity in the Google Play Console and shown under this name on Google Play.
  • Legal entity responsible for this policy (data controller): #WiLa denken GbR — see below for address and contact.

If you use any of these Apps, this document describes how we handle personal data for that software.

This Privacy Policy describes how #WiLa denken GbR (“we”, “us”, “our”) processes personal data when you use the Apps. It applies in addition to the terms and privacy information of the platform and service providers used by the relevant App, including Google Play, Android, iOS, the App Store, Apple, Google, and Supabase where applicable.

This document is intended for store disclosure (including the privacy policy URL on Google Play) and direct linking. It does not replace Google’s or Apple’s own privacy notices for their platforms and services.

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data under the GDPR for the Apps is:

#WiLa denken GbR
Am Neufeld 27, 65933 Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Email: info@wila-denken.de

Google Play: The Apps are published under the developer name Hendrik Lang, as shown in the Play Store listing.

2. Categories of data we process

Depending on which App you use and how you use it, we may process data including:

  • Account and identity data: identifiers and account information needed to sign in. For BookBee, this includes your email address and authentication identifiers. If you choose Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifiers and profile information made available by the respective provider.
  • Content and app data you store or sync: information you enter, save, or generate in an App. For BookBee, this includes the catalogue/library data and related records that you choose to sync with your account.
  • Subscription and entitlement data: for BookBee, we may process information required to associate and verify a Google Play subscription or purchase with your account, such as product, purchase, entitlement, or subscription status identifiers. Payment details such as your full card number are processed by Google Play and are not provided to us.
  • Technical and diagnostic data: device or app version information, crash logs, performance or error reports, and similar data where the relevant App uses such tools.
  • Usage data: aggregated or pseudonymous information about how an App is used, where such collection is implemented.

We do not use the Apps to sell your personal data to third parties in the sense of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

3. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)

We process personal data for purposes such as:

  • creating and managing App accounts and authentication, including email/OTP login and supported third-party sign-in;
  • providing App features, including cloud sync and backup where implemented;
  • associating and verifying subscriptions or paid entitlements where implemented;
  • maintaining security, integrity, and availability of the Apps;
  • analysing crashes or usage to improve stability and functionality, where such tools are used;
  • complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on appropriate legal bases such as performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for account, sync, and paid features; legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), for example for security and product improvement, balanced against your rights; consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where required; and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. BookBee: account, authentication and cloud sync (Supabase)

BookBee uses Supabase as backend infrastructure for account authentication and cloud synchronisation. This includes email-based authentication/one-time passwords (OTP) and storage/synchronisation of BookBee account and catalogue data.

When you create or use a BookBee account, data processed through this infrastructure may include your email address, authentication identifiers and session information, the catalogue/library data you choose to sync, and technical metadata required to operate and secure the service.

Supabase acts as a service provider/processor for backend services used by BookBee. Further information is available in Supabase’s Privacy Policy.

5. BookBee: Google and Apple sign-in

BookBee may allow you to authenticate using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. If you choose one of these methods, Google or Apple authenticates you and provides BookBee/Supabase with the information required to identify your account, subject to your settings and the provider’s terms. Depending on the provider and your choices, this may include an account identifier, email address, and name.

Please review Google’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy.

6. BookBee: Google Play Billing

On Android, BookBee may use Google Play Billing for subscriptions or in-app purchases. Google processes the payment transaction under its own terms and privacy policy. BookBee may receive and process purchase-related identifiers and status information needed to verify the purchase, provide the paid entitlement, prevent abuse, and associate the entitlement with your BookBee account. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

7. Other Apps: Apple iCloud/CloudKit and Google Firebase

Other Apps covered by this policy may use Apple iCloud/CloudKit, Google Firebase, or related platform services for features such as storage, sync, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, or backend functionality. These services are configured per App and are not necessarily used by every App.

BookBee does not use Firebase or iCloud/CloudKit as its account and catalogue-sync backend; BookBee uses Supabase as described above.

For further information, please review Firebase Privacy Information, Google’s Privacy Policy, and Apple’s Privacy Policy.

8. Processors, sharing, international transfers and retention

We use service providers only where necessary to operate the Apps, including backend, authentication, hosting, platform billing, and related infrastructure. We do not share personal data from the Apps with advertisers for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Depending on the provider and service configuration, personal data may be processed outside Germany or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are based on appropriate safeguards under applicable data-protection law, such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. For BookBee, account and synced catalogue data are generally retained while your account exists and are deleted or anonymised after account deletion, subject to limited retention where necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or technically required backup cycles. Purchase or transaction records may need to be retained for statutory accounting or other legal obligations.

9. BookBee account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your BookBee account and associated cloud data either in the BookBee App using the account deletion option in the account/settings area, or by emailing info@wila-denken.de with the subject “BookBee Account Deletion”. Please send the request from the email address associated with your BookBee account where possible so that we can verify the request.

Deletion covers the BookBee account data under our control, including the account record, authentication association, and synced BookBee catalogue/library data. Data that must be retained to comply with legal obligations, or limited security/fraud-prevention records, may be kept for the legally required or necessary period. Deleting your BookBee account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Google Play; subscriptions must also be cancelled through Google Play where applicable.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights regarding data we control, contact us at info@wila-denken.de. For data held primarily by Apple or Google (e.g. in iCloud or a Google account), you may need to use their account tools or contact them directly.

12. Children

Our Apps are not directed at children under the age required by applicable law for standalone consent to data processing. If you believe a child has provided personal data inappropriately, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete such information where we are not legally required to retain it.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may be communicated through the App or other appropriate means where required by law.
